As candidate early detection tests for PDAC come online, one of the key challenges is figuring out who to screen, i.e., at greatest risk. For those with new-onset diabetes which modestly increases overall risk relative to the general population, this model could enrich for those new-onset diabetics harboring an occult PDAC, i.e., optimal candidates for testing and validating early detection of PDAC tests.
